Description
We are looking for an accomplished Contracts Manager to support a growing organization in the healthcare and life sciences space in Orange County, CA. This Long-term Contract opportunity will focus on overseeing commercial agreements from initial intake through final execution and renewal while working closely with legal, compliance, and business partners. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment in contract negotiation, careful attention to risk, and the ability to guide stakeholders through complex agreement terms.
Responsibilities:

Oversee the end-to-end administration of commercial agreements, managing each stage from request intake and drafting through signature, tracking, and renewal activities.

Prepare, analyze, and negotiate a broad mix of business contracts, ensuring language is aligned with operational goals and appropriate risk controls.

Advise internal teams on contract provisions, compliance considerations, and business terms so they can make informed decisions during negotiations.

Handle agreements such as confidentiality arrangements, consulting engagements, vendor contracts, and other service-related documents with limited supervision.

Provide contract support for clinical research matters, including study- and trial-related agreements connected to healthcare or life sciences operations.

Partner with legal, compliance, operational, and business stakeholders to resolve contract issues and maintain alignment with organizational priorities.

Maintain accurate contract records and support adherence to established policies, approval processes, and documentation standards.
Requirements • At least 5 years of experience managing commercial contracts, ideally within healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or a similar regulated industry.

Proven ability to independently draft, revise, negotiate, and redline agreements with strong accuracy and sound business judgment.

Hands-on experience working with physician or proctor agreements, consulting agreements, and non-disclosure agreements, including both standard and mutual forms.

Background supporting clinical trial agreements, clinical study agreements, or other research-related contracts.

Strong understanding of contract risk assessment and the ability to identify and address key legal and business issues.

Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate confidently across legal, compliance, and cross-functional business teams.

Experience in the medical device sector and familiarity with healthcare regulatory expectations are valued.

Demonstrated support for clinical research, product development, or medical affairs functions is preferred.
