Job Description

Role: Electrical Engineer I C4I Systems (Advanced Communication Systems Team Program)

Location: St. Mary's County, MD (Patuxent River NAS Corridor)

About the Role

Join a mission-critical team supporting the US Navy and US Coast Guard. As an Electrical Engineer I on the ACST Program, you will apply core engineering principles to develop and evaluate technical solutions for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems. This is a hands-on role where you will see your designs move from the drawing board to shipboard and shore site installations.

What You Will Do

  • Design & Develop: Apply electrical engineering techniques to create moderately technical solutions for C4I communication systems.

  • Test & Evaluate: Conduct rigorous testing and evaluation of systems and components to ensure peak performance prior to formal delivery.

  • Collaborate: Partner with Mechanical Engineering teams to develop electrical components for Installation Requirements Drawings (IRD) and Level II Drawings.

  • Lifecycle Management: Assist in the development of new system Bills of Materials (BOM) and perform market analysis to identify replacements for obsolete materials.

This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program

  • Understanding of communications theory of operation

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work well in a team environment or independently

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Microsoft Office experience

  • Self-motivated

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $64926 - $110374

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
