Job Title: Materials Associate Job Description

We are seeking Materials Associates for a prominent defense technology company located in Santa Ana/Costa Mesa, CA. This role involves working on a day shift from 7am to 5pm, with opportunities for overtime. Candidates with flexibility to work second or third shifts are highly desirable. The position requires reliable transportation, as you may need to provide support at multiple facilities within a 10-mile radius. Responsibilities

  • Process shipping and receiving at the Santa Ana and/or Costa Mesa locations as needed.

  • Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, labeling, loading, and securing products.

  • Ensure accurate material movement across sites for each transaction.

  • Pull orders from inventory, deliver production materials and supplies as needed, and stage finished products for distribution.

  • Conduct cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy as a top priority.

  • Identify, label, and keep materials and supplies in stock, recording inventory location and reporting shortages.

  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signal operators to move materials onto and off trucks and loading docks.

  • Expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments according to production schedules.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of experience as a warehouse associate or equivalent role.

  • Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and other warehouse management and inventory control tools.

  • Familiarity with inventory management, including Lot, Serial, and Batch tracking at high mix, high production volumes.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office or equivalent office management tools.

  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.

  • Forklift experience and a valid drivers license.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret clearance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
