Required Education/Experience

Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Science, Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a technical discipline preferred and 5 years of related work experience or

Master's Degree Engineering, Science, Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a technical discipline and 3 years of related work experience
Relevant Work Experience
-
Experience in health and safety program development/management, operations leadership, and/or other technical discipline, required.
-
Functional expertise in the underlying regulatory bases and technical principles of Con Edison's safety-related procedures and instructions, required.
-
Influence and persuasion skills, and ability to initiate/champion change, required.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, required.
-
Understanding of root cause analysis techniques and data analysis principles, required.
-
Operational familiarity with the practices and requirements of Con Edison's service commodities, required.
-
Effective verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, required.
-
Prior experience managing safety-related subject matter areas, or working knowledge of associated Federal, State, and local requirements, preferred.

Broad familiarity with OSHA and other workplace safety-related requirements, preferred.

Driver's License Required

Other: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) Preferred
Additional Physical Demands

The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Must be able and willing to travel as needed.

Must be able to provide off hours support as required.
