Seeking a Procurement Anst Sr responsible for administration of high risk/high complexity purchase orders from start to finish. Work independently, as well as serves a subject matter expert for procurement matters within a cross-functional procurement team for the sourcing of complex material, software, IT equipment, and/or services through following established and approved procurement policies and procedures. Leads and conducts the preparation/negotiation of highly complex orders in support of capital procurement efforts.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

Prepares solicitation documents for highly complex and/or high-risk acquisitions to include statements of work, terms and conditions (including flow-down terms and conditions), bid or performance evaluation factors, select or recommends suppliers, and other measures incorporated into the requests for proposal as may be appropriate for the procurement. Serves as the focal point when bids are received, reviews both the technical and cost proposals with program teams and resolves/addresses any identified supplier exceptions through engagement and coordination with supporting program functions.

Ensures the receipt, accuracy and timeliness of subcontractor submitted documents relating to deliverables, including invoices and resolving invoice issues if they arise, as well as monitoring performance relative to timeliness, cost considerations, and technical objectives.

Reviews documentation for orders to ensure compliance with industry and government contract requirements and internal BAE Systems policies and procedures. Prepares price analysis, negotiation memos, and other required documentation for internal and external distribution. Maintains CPSR compliant procurement files.

Able to assess, prioritize, drive issues to closure and be assertive when required.

This role emphasizes supplier engagement, management, development and production ramp-up in addition to negotiating and ensuring compliance to internal and external policies. A successful candidate must be able to be an effective communicator internally and externally, build mutually beneficial relationships, be willing to advance their knowledge of procurement compliance, and proactively adopt best practices and support new initiatives, including Zero Defect initiatives with suppliers.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Negotiate complex contracts securing favorable terms, mitigating risk, and ensuring compliance with legal and project obligations.

  • Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks developing and implementing robust contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted supply and minimize disruptions.

  • Foster collaborative relationships with key suppliers resolving issues, proactively expediting deliveries, and ensuring alignment with evolving business needs.

  • Leverage deep industry knowledge and emerging best practices to drive strategic procurement decisions and maintain a competitive edge.

  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem solving, taking ownership, leveraging technical excellence, and driving innovative solutions to complex supply chain challenges.

  • Years of Experience: 4 years of progressive procurement experience.

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or STEM discipline; a Master s degree is highly desirable.

  • Certifications: CPSM, C.P.M.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $82779 - $140723

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
