You will help maintain order, monitor inmate safety and behavior, respond to emergencies, operate secure systems, and support the daily operation of the facility. In this role, you will: - Help maintain safety, security, and order throughout the facility - Monitor inmate movement, behavior, and well-being - Respond to fights, medical emergencies, and other critical incidents - Conduct searches, head counts, and security checks - Operate cameras, doors, alarms, and other control systems - Prepare accurate logs and incident reports - Help prevent escapes, contraband, and injury to inmates, staff, and visitors - Support daily operations including meals, visitation, recreation, and clinic security This position offers the chance to build a meaningful career in law enforcement while serving Sedgwick County with integrity, professionalism, and purpose. \ Applicants have rights under Federal Employment Laws.
