You'll prepare and | | | serve meals that meet individual | | | dietary needs while maintaining | | | the highest standards of food | | | quality, safety, and sanitation. | | | You may also assist with meal | | | preparation for special events | | | and resident activities. | | | | | | Essential Responsibilities | | | | | | - Prepare and cook meals | | | according to established | | | menus, recipes, and dietary | | | requirements. | | | - Ensure food is prepared, | | | presented, and served with | | | exceptional quality and | | | consistency. | | | - Follow food safety, | | | sanitation, and infection | | | control standards at all | | | times. | | | - Maintain a clean, organized, | | | and safe kitchen environment. | | | - Assist with meal preparation | | | for special events and | | | facility functions. | | | - Properly store, label, and | | | rotate food products. | | | - Work collaboratively with the | | | Dietary Services team to | | | provide excellent service to | | | residents. | | | - Support a positive dining | | | experience for our Veteran | | | residents and guests. | | | | | | Qualifications | | | | | | - High School Diploma or GED | | | required. | | | - Knowledge of food | | | preparation, sanitation, and | | | safe food handling practices. | | | - At least one year of cooking | | | experience in a healthcare, | | | long-term care, or similar | | | food service setting | | | preferred. | | | - Other relevant cooking | | | experience or successful | | | completion of a professional | | | cook training program will | | | also be considered. | | | - Ability to work in a | | | fast-paced environment while | | | maintaining attention to | | | detail. | | | - Commitment to providing | |
