Full job description

Chainguard is the trusted source for open source. By delivering hardened, secure, and production-ready builds of all the open source software engineers and AI agents rely on, Chainguard helps organizations build faster, stay compliant, and eliminate risk.

Our customers include Fortune 500 enterprises and global industry leaders, including Anduril, Canva, Fortinet, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, OpenAI, Snap Inc., and Snowflake.

Chainguard is venture-backed by leading investors, including Amplify, IVP, Kleiner Perkins, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Mantis VC, Redpoint Ventures, Sequoia Capital, and Spark Capital.

The role, in a nutshell:

We’re hiring a Sr. Growth Operations Manager to own the systems, data, and workflows behind Chainguard’s go-to-market engine. You’ll lead our most important operations initiatives end to end, architect the martech stack, and set the standards the rest of the team builds to.

This is a hands-on lead role. You scope the work, bring options with trade-offs, and align stakeholders. Then you build it yourself with coding agents instead of waiting on a backlog. You’ll partner closely with Growth, ABM, Campaigns, BDR, Sales, RevOps, and Data, and help level up the team around you.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Architect the stack. Design how HubSpot, Salesforce, Clay, Hightouch, and BigQuery fit together: the data model, integration patterns, and governance others build within. Set naming, documentation, and monitoring standards, build workflows that flag their own breakage, and review others’ work against them.

  • Design orchestration, not one-off programs. Partner with Growth, ABM, and BDR to build reusable plays, lead lifecycle and routing, and automated hand-offs that move accounts and buyers through the funnel.

  • Own the data architecture. Design scoring, intent, and enrichment systems and the account and contact model, partnering with Data on predictive models. Make the CRM trustworthy by design, not by cleanup.

  • Set the AI standard. Build agents and LLM-driven workflows for research, enrichment, and orchestration. Evaluate new tools and set how the team adopts them.

  • Build measurement that changes decisions. Partner with RevOps and Data on predictive measurement, attribution, and reporting in Omni and BigQuery. Spot business risks early and get them to the right stakeholders.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • 6+ years of marketing operations experience at a B2B SaaS, security, or infrastructure company, including leading cross-functional initiatives and mentoring others in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • Architect-level expertise in HubSpot, Salesforce, and routing tools like LeanData (or equivalents), with deep specialization in one or two areas of the stack.

  • Advanced SQL and data modeling in a warehouse like BigQuery, plus production-quality Python or JavaScript against REST APIs.

  • Experience designing scoring, intent, and enrichment systems, and enough understanding of how predictive models are trained and evaluated to partner with Data.

  • An AI builder’s mindset: you build agents and automations with tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and Clay, and you’d rather prototype a fix than file a ticket.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience supporting product-led or developer-focused motions alongside enterprise sales.

  • Experience with dbt or a similar transformation layer, or building internal tools that go beyond connecting existing platforms.

  • Experience building ABM infrastructure, including intent data and account-level reporting.

We know not everyone will check every box on day one. If this role excites you and you’ve done most of this, we’d like to hear from you. Base Salary Range $140,000—$167,500 USD
