Job Description

Seeking an experienced Operations Advisor to serve as the operations representative during the transition from construction and commissioning into startup and operations readiness. This individual will work closely with Construction, Commissioning, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure systems are installed, preserved, tested, and turned over in a condition that supports safe, reliable, and efficient startup. The role is highly field-focused and requires strong knowledge of mechanical completion, system turnover, construction quality, and operational readiness.

Represent Operations during construction completion, commissioning, turnover, and startup activities

Conduct field inspections and equipment walkdowns to verify installation quality and completeness

Ensure systems and subsystems are ready for safe turnover and operation

Identify construction, operability, maintainability, and reliability concerns prior to startup

Perform preservation inspections and verify equipment preservation requirements are being followed and documented

Monitor equipment condition and drive corrective actions when deficiencies are identified

Validate completion of punch list items and track startup-critical punch items through closure

Participate in turnover inspections, readiness reviews, startup planning sessions, and punch walks

Verify installations comply with project specifications, IFC drawings, company standards, and applicable codes

Confirm equipment tagging, labeling, accessibility, and maintainability requirements are met

Collaborate across project teams to resolve issues impacting startup readiness

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of experience in Operations, Commissioning, Startup, Maintenance, Construction, or related industrial environments

Experience supporting mechanical completion, system turnover, commissioning, or startup activities

Background within LNG, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refining, Energy, or heavy industrial facilities

Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, engineering drawings, specifications, and IFC packages

Strong understanding of construction practices, operational readiness, and turnover processes

Experience performing field inspections, equipment walkdowns, and turnover verification activities

Strong communication skills with the ability to work across Construction, Commissioning, Engineering, and Operations teams Technical degree, Associate's degree, or equivalent industry experience

Experience with asset preservation programs and inspections

Experience utilizing punch tracking or turnover management systems

Previous involvement in large capital projects, LNG facilities, or startup organizations
