City/State Virginia Beach, VA Work Shift Third (Nights) Provider Specialty Hospital MedicineOverview: We are seeking dedicated and collaborative Hospitalists to join our team at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital, a 174-bed acute care hospital located in the heart of southern Virginia Beach, serving a rapidly growing population across Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, and northeastern North Carolina. Role Summary The Hospitalist Physician provides inpatient medical care to the adult patient population, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to support quality, safety, and efficient patient flow.

Position Highlights Nocturnist

  • Shift: Part Time 8 shifts/month, 9p-7a
  • Coverage Model: Based on staff availability currently utilizing in-house MD and APPs. Only as last option eHub

Care Model

  • Patient Census: Average Daily Census 75-80
  • APP Support: 4p-4a

Qualifications

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified or Eligible (IM or FM), Certification must be obtained within 5 years of eligibility
  • Eligible for licensure and credentialing in Virginia

The base pay range for full-time employment is $272,688.00 - $373,796.80 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
