We’re seeking a Senior Data Engineer | Scientist to work at a premier biotechnology industry leader.

Location: Juncos, Puerto Rico US. This position requires onsite attendance in Puerto Rico. Applicants must reside in Puerto Rico or be able to independently relocate within one to two weeks. Relocation expenses will not be covered by the company.

Salary: $48.00 per hour

Shift: Administrative Full-Time (8AM–5PM, 24/7 support)

Requirements:

• Master’s degree with at least 2 years of experience OR Bachelors with at least 4 years of related experience. Degree on Data Science, Statistics, Data Mining, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related. Preferred: Software Engineering or Data Science/ Analytics.

• Strong experience in programming, coding, system design and architecture, algorithms, and data structures. Proficiency in programming and statistical languages such as Python, R, SAS, or MATLAB, along with experience using SQL and database technologies.

• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, utilizing programming and analytical techniques to solve business challenges and routine technical problems.

• Proven ability to evaluate technical requirements, select the appropriate tools and technologies.

• Communicate effectively in both Spanish and English (written and verbal).

The Senior Data Engineer i s responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable data solutions that support business intelligence, advanced analytics, and operational excellence initiatives. This role partners with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions through programming, data engineering, and analytical methodologies. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in coding, system architecture, database technologies, and problem-solving to deliver impactful, data-driven business solutions.
