The Caz-Rad Lab Group within the Nuclear Engineering Program at the University of Utah College of Engineering is seeking a Post-Doctoral Researcher in the areas of Radiation Detection, Dosimetry, and Radiation Effects. Mentorship is to be provided by the group PI, Dr. Edward Cazalas. Expectations for the position include publishing papers, co-writing grants, and managing an expanding research group. The position is expected to be 1-year, which is subject to funding. Research projects include areas of advanced reactor power measurements, FLASH radiotherapy dosimetry, high energy x-ray shielding, and radiation damage to materials and electronics.The University of Utah is located in Salt Lake City, which has been named one of the top 10 mid-sized American cities.
