Job#: 3056640 Job Description: Title: Senior Software Engineer Location: Cincinnati, Ohio (On-site) Duration: 2+ Months Role Overview The Senior Software Engineer - Back End IV provides technical leadership and expertise in designing, developing, and implementing robust, scalable, and secure enterprise applications. This role requires deep proficiency in Java/J2EE development, extensive experience with cloud services, and expertise in Infrastructure as Code utilizing Terraform. The engineer drives architectural decisions, mentors team members, and ensures the delivery of high-quality software solutions. Key Responsibilities - Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex enterprise applications using Java/J2EE technologies. - Architect and implement solutions leveraging cloud services, including compute, serverless, database, and messaging infrastructure. - Design, develop, and maintain Infrastructure as Code utilizing Terraform for provisioning and managing cloud resources. - Develop and consume RESTful web services, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability. - Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, fostering best practices in software development, code quality, and architectural design. - Collaborate with product owners, architects, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and translate them into actionable plans. - Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the stability and performance of systems. - Evaluate and recommend new tools and practices to enhance development processes. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field of study. Experience: Nine or more years of experience in Java/J2EE development, with a focus on enterprise-level applications. Technical Skills: Expert-level proficiency in Java programming, including Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security). Proven experience designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform. Demonstrable expertise in designing, developing, and consuming RESTful and SOAP web services, along with a strong understanding of microservices architecture and relational/NoSQL databases. Preferred Qualifications - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and agile methodologies. - Experience with digital identity technologies and technical leadership roles. - Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and cloud-native design patterns.
