Patent Paralegal 37736401 * Hourly pay: $50-$65 (Depends on experience) * Worksite: Leading audio, video, and voice technologies company (San Francisco, CA 94103 - Hybrid) * W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL * 40 hours/week, 6 Month Assignment A leading video, audio, and voice technologies company seeks a Patent Paralegal to coordinate U.S. and foreign patent filing and prosecution as part of its IP operations team. Patent Paralegal Responsibilities: * Research, prepare, and draft legal documents for international patent filings and prosecution, and prepare accurate U.S. and PCT applications and documents using ePCT, filing PCT and U.S. applications electronically through Patent Center. * Work with internal attorneys, agents, and international law firms, applying knowledge of U.S. and foreign patent rules and requirements to respond to office actions, complete formalities, and provide all materials and support. * Respond to internal and external questions about third-party and company patents, researching and providing accurate information on patent terms, relevant dates, priority applications, ownership, and other details using internal databases, attorney reports, and external resources such as Patent Center, Espacenet, Patentscope, and patent offices worldwide. * Ensure compliance with patent handling procedures and perform other duties as assigned by the Principal Patent Paralegal. Patent Paralegal Qualifications: * 3+ years of combined U.S. and foreign patent filing experience. * Bachelor's degree, paralegal certification, or equivalent experience. * Solid knowledge of U.S. and international patent filing procedures and rules. * Solid Microsoft Office skills, including intermediate to advanced Word and Excel. * Willingness to learn new software applications and effectively use emerging technologies, including AI-powered tools, to improve efficiency, data quality, and patent operations workflows while exercising sound professional judgment. * Both in-house and private practice law firm experience is preferred. * Experience with MxHero, Box, Anaqua, or other patent and trademark docketing systems is preferred. Shift: * 9/80 schedule: 9-hour days Monday through Thursday, 8-hour Fridays, and every other Friday off. * Hybrid: onsite 2 days per week. #PP
