Summary: The Extended School Care Program Assistant is responsible for assisting the Site Director in the preparation and implementation of daily activities, ensuring a safe environment, and monitoring the location and activity of the children in the group at all times. Essential Functions: 1. Responsible for assisting the site director/group supervisor with the preparation and implementation of daily program activities. 2. Oversees the safety and location of all children in the group at all times. 3. Ensures proper clean up and maintenance of toys, materials, and equipment daily. 4. Follows all PA Department of Human Services childcare guidelines. Education Required: 1. High School Diploma/GED 2. Experience working with children preferred Certifications: 1. Pediatric First Aid and CPR EOE Requisite Skills: Pediatric First Aid and CPR will be required upon hire ADA Compliance: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions of this position. Light work: If the use of arm and/or leg control requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the individual sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work. The incumbent should be able to exert up to 20 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Medium work: The incumbent should be able to exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs of force constantly to move objects. Heavy work: The incumbent should be able to exert up to 100 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects. Very heavy work: The incumbent should be able to exert in excess of 100 lbs of force occasionally, and in excess of 50 lbs of force frequently, and in excess of 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects.
