Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Machine Shop Helper to perform fabrication, deburring, grinding, polishing, and painting tasks in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will collaborate closely with machinists, welders, and fabricators to assist in the final stages of product development. Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as a tape measure, is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform fabrication tasks to assist in product development.

• Deburr and grind materials to ensure smooth finishes.

• Polish products to meet quality standards.

• Assist in painting tasks within the manufacturing process.

• Collaborate with machinists, welders, and fabricators.

• Utilize hand and power tools effectively.

• Accurately measure materials using a tape measure.

Essential Skills

• Experience with fabrication processes.

• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.

• Ability to accurately use a tape measure.

• Skills in grinding and polishing materials.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Any education or certifications related to the welding or machining industry are a bonus.

• Enrollment in a trade school is an advantage.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
