Phillips 66 is building the data and analytics capabilities needed to support a range of business areas, including Commercial. As the Senior Advisor II, Architect - AI Products , you will shape the architecture for data-driven products that improve business decision-making, operational efficiency, and performance. This role connects business needs with practical product delivery. You will work with traders, analysts, engineers, data scientists, and enterprise technology teams to design products that bring together market, operational, financial, and trading data. You will build on the Enterprise Analytics Data-as-a-Service platform and focus on the data models, integrations, workflows, and product capabilities needed by the business.

What You’ll Do

  • Define product and solution architecture for data, analytics, and AI products supporting enterprise and business functions, including Commercial.

  • Translate business problems into scalable product designs, roadmaps, data models, and integration patterns.

  • Design data pipelines and integrations across market data, trading systems, operational systems, external sources, and enterprise platforms.

  • Establish reusable data models and transformation patterns for energy data, curves, deals, nominations, positions, assets, vessels, locations, and other business entities.

  • Improve data quality, standardization, lineage, and reporting so users can make decisions with confidence.

  • Help replace manual spreadsheet-based processes with reliable decision-support products and automated workflows.

  • Identify opportunities to apply ML and AI where they improve forecasting, optimization, automation, or user experience.

  • Partner with Enterprise Analytics as the delivery engine and help teams apply consistent architecture, engineering, and governance standards.

  • Guide product teams through design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and production support.

  • Communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and leaders.

What Success Looks Like

  • Business users have reliable products that combine data from multiple sources and reduce manual work.

  • Data pipelines and integrations are reusable, documented, observable, and built for scale.

  • Energy and trading data is standardized enough to support reporting, analytics, automation, and AI use cases.

  • New products move from business idea to production more quickly.

  • Data quality and integrity are addressed in the product and upstream systems rather than through manual reconciliation.

  • AI and ML capabilities are applied to practical business problems with measurable value.

What You’ll Bring – Required

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field

  • 7 or more years of experience designing and delivering data-intensive products, integrations, or enterprise applications

  • Advanced proficiency in data engineering, data modeling, APIs, system integration, and batch or event-driven pipelines

  • Advanced proficiency in front-end and full-stack development using React, Node.js, and C#

  • Advanced proficiency in translating business requirements into product and solution architecture

  • Advanced proficiency in working across the full product lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support

  • Travel up to 5% of the time

What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred

  • Experience working effectively with business stakeholders, engineers, data scientists, and enterprise platform teams

  • Experience with commodities, energy, power, gas scheduling, trading, refining, logistics, or physical operations

  • Experience with trading or scheduling platforms such as ENDUR or RightAngle

  • Experience with market and energy data sources

  • Experience with Databricks, Data Factory, cloud platforms, data lakes, or enterprise data services

  • Experience building common data models for curves, deals, nominations, positions, or physical assets

  • Experience developing decision-support products that improve data integrity, standardization, reporting, or workflow automation

  • Experience applying ML or AI to operational, scheduling, forecasting, or business use cases

  • Familiarity with enterprise AI code assistant development and the product, security, governance, and integration considerations involved
