The Goals and Challenges of this Role:

  • Create programs for large, project-based parts

  • Review engineering prints, select and acquire appropriate tooling.

  • Create, catalogue and maintain CNC programs and set-up procedures.

  • Determine machining sequence and setup requirements

  • Schedule equipment PM and contact service technicians to repair equipment.

  • Work with machinist troubleshooting issues with programs and approach to completing the projects on large scale 5 axis machines (VTL and HBM)

  • Assist with quoting of new projects.

  • Perform trial runs in Digital Twin software to verify program and machine settings

  • Inspection and measurement of machined components to confirm project is progressing correctly

  • Assist in training and developing less experienced AT&F machinists

What You Should Bring to this Role:

  • 3+ years of experience in CNC Programming with Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or Siemenst Sinumerik One.

  • Siemens Controller experience is a plus

  • Desire to work with the latest machining technology in terms of machining equipment, controller technology, and Digital Twin

  • Experience in dealing with lower run quantities per part.

  • Ability to interpret blueprint/drawing specifications and GD&T.

  • Applied experience with various inspection methods (hand gages, CMM, etc.)

  • Basic computer skills for email, web-based communications.
