Summary

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a RECORDS AND INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (KNOWLEDGE), Position Description Number T5551000 and is part of the KS 190 Air Refueling Wing, 190th ARW Kansas Air National Guard, Topeka, KS, Kansas Air National Guard.

Duties

As a RECORDS AND INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0308- 11, you will work with non-homogenous work centers throughout the wing to integrate planning, development and implementation of knowledge programs and systems. Apply enterprise processes and technologies to capture, store, organize, share, and control tacit and explicit knowledge. Implement Continuous Process Improvement techniques to improve mission and business processes. Uses various software to enhance access to relevant cross-functional information. Provide training to managers and end-users regarding knowledge management principles, costs and benefits. Administer Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) to facilitate knowledge management and collaboration by developing, designing and maintaining websites. Provide EIS web management and administrative support. Ensure all site content adheres to applicable policies and standards. Provide training, consultation and instruction to end-users on database and file management techniques. Other duties as assigned. Work Schedule: This position works on a 5/4/9 compressed work schedule that consists of a 5-day workweek, then a 4-day workweek (eight 9-hour days and one 8-hour day and an SDO, Scheduled Day Off) to complete the 80-hour pay period. Work schedule is subject to change based on mission requirements. Telework: ELIGIBLE FOR SITUATIONAL TELEWORK ONLY, INCLUDING EMERGENCY AND PRESCRIBED "UNSCHEDULED TELEWORK Qualifications

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have clerical, office, or other work that indicates you have the ability to perform records information management work which includes planning, controlling, directing, organizing, training, promoting, and other activities involved with respect to records. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least one year experience equivalent to the next lower level skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems of a procedural or factual nature. Must have knowledge of the theory and principles of management and organization, including administrative practices and procedures common to organizations, delegation of authority, routing of correspondence, filing systems, and storage of files and records.
