Journeyman needed for a Salt Lake City, UT employer. Job Overview Crossroads Construction is seeking an experienced and skilled Journeyman Concrete Construction Worker to support our industrial and commercial construction projects in the Salt Lake City area. This role requires advanced knowledge of concrete forming, placement, and finishing. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality craftsmanship, works safely and efficiently, and contributes to keeping projects on schedule. Responsibilities • Build, install, and repair concrete formwork using hand and power tools • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and project specifications • Layout footings and construct forms for foundations, slabs, columns, walls, pits, tunnels, and culverts • Anchor and brace forms and ensure proper alignment • Pour, spread, and screed concrete to grade • Install wire mesh and reinforcement materials • Smooth, finish, and cure freshly poured concrete using hand and power finishing tools • Build scaffolding and handle built-in-place forms as needed • Maintain clean and organized job sites • Follow all company safety policies and procedures Qualifications • 3--5+ years of experience in concrete construction (journeyman level) • Strong knowledge of forming systems, concrete placement, and finishing techniques • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications • Proficient with carpenter's hand tools and power tools • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship • Ability to work independently and as part of a crew • Reliable transportation required • Valid driver's license required • Clean motor vehicle driving record required • Employer requires a background check • Employers conduct a pre-employment drug screen, including marijuana • Willingness to work overtime as needed Physical Requirements • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday Pay Range: $26.00--$30.00 per hour, depending on experience Schedule: Arranged with employer
