About the Opportunity:
A well-established, family-owned commercial electrical contractor serving the Greater Philadelphia market is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join its growing team Delaware county, PA. The company has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality electrical construction solutions across aviation, healthcare, higher education, industrial manufacturing, stadiums, commercial facilities, and large-scale renovation projects. With a strong backlog of work and upcoming major regional projects, this is an opportunity to become the organization's primary estimator and play a key role in shaping estimating processes and best practices.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Manage 5-10 bids per month from takeoff through submission
- Perform quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam and estimating software
- Develop project estimates, labor calculations, and pricing strategies
- Solicit, review, and level vendor and subcontractor quotations
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits
- Prepare RFIs and track project addenda
- Develop scopes, qualifications, and exclusions for bid packages
- Coordinate with project management teams during preconstruction
- Participate in project handoff and turnover meetings for awarded work
- Support a variety of commercial, industrial, aviation, infrastructure, and institutional projects
Required Qualifications:
- Electrical estimating experience within commercial construction
- Experience working for an electrical contractor or within a GC's electrical division
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and construction practices
- Ability to independently manage estimates from takeoff through bid submission
- Experience reading and interpreting plans, specifications, and construction documents
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, Excel, or similar estimating platforms
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $100,000 - $140,000
- Hybrid Schedule
- Discretionary performance bonus eligibility
