Job Title: Driller's Assistant - Rotary Job Description

Join our team as a Driller's Assistant where you will support the driller in a variety of tasks. This role involves working primarily on residential construction sites across Central PA, Western Maryland, Eastern Panhandle of WV, and Northern Virginia. Expect to engage in physical labor, learn the controls to progress into a driller role, and manage equipment and material preparation for daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the driller in day-to-day operations, including loading materials and fueling up for the day.

• Drive the service truck, requiring a CDL.

• Perform labor-intensive tasks, supporting the driller in residential construction projects.

• Communicate effectively and work as a team with the driller and other crew members.

• Ensure equipment is maintained and operated safely and efficiently.

• Handle occasional overnight travel as required.

Essential Skills

• Clean driving record.

• CDL license.

• Mechanical skills, with a preference for diesel experience.

• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

• Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Heavy equipment operator experience preferred.

• Welding experience is an advantage.

• Construction and landscaping experience beneficial.

• 2-3 years of farm or construction experience preferred.

• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools.

Work Environment

This role requires working outdoors in all weather conditions. Expect long workdays, typically 10-12 hours, with a schedule that generally involves four 10-hour days from Monday to Thursday. The work environment is direct and demands a strong work ethic, with a focus on teamwork and effective communication.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
