How you will make contributions that matter
Join Saputo Dairy Australia as a Reliability Stores Coordinator at our Burnie site. In this hands-on role, you’ll take ownership of our engineering stores and spare parts inventory, ensuring our Maintenance and Reliability teams have the right materials available when they need them.
This is more than a traditional stores role. You’ll combine inventory management, purchasing, SAP and supplier coordination with a strong focus on improving how our engineering stores operate.
Key elements of your role will include:

Managing engineering spare parts inventory and maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy

Managing inventory replenishment through SAP MRP
-
Coordinating cycle counts and stocktakes and investigating inventory discrepancies

Receiving, inspecting and receipting materials into SAP
-
Maintaining accurate material master data, stock locations and inventory information
-
Raising and managing purchase orders for engineering spares and consumables
-
Reviewing safety stock levels, lead times and potential stock-out risks

Building strong relationships with suppliers and monitoring pricing, delivery, quality and service

Supporting Maintenance and Reliability teams with critical spares, shutdowns and planned maintenance

Identifying opportunities to improve inventory performance, stores processes and working capital.
About you
You’ll be someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and building relationships across a manufacturing environment. You’ll be comfortable working with systems and inventory data, but equally comfortable working closely with tradespeople, maintenance teams and suppliers.
You’ll ideally bring:

Experience in engineering stores, inventory management, maintenance support or procurement
-
Experience in inventory control, purchasing and warehouse operations within a manufacturing or industrial environment

Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system, with SAP experience highly regarded
-
Knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting and MRP
-
An understanding of engineering spare parts
-
Strong attention to detail and an organised approach
-
Good problem-solving skills and an inquisitive mindset
-
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
-
A Supply Chain Operations, Logistics or equivalent background
-
A forklift licence would be advantageous.
