Job Summary and Qualifications

You will supervise daily operations of the respiratory service department and resources, distribute work assignments and collaborate with manager in meeting hospital and departmental goals
-
You will prepare monthly and prints daily staffing schedule for the department approves changes made by Coordinator, and the management of supplies in all respiratory department and various supply areas
-
You will deliver high standards of excellence for the department, act as Chair for department base counsel, obtain statistical data, and present to team and create process improvement based on findings or quality related process improvement projects
-
You will ensure all Arterial Blood Gas Instruments are maintained to quality control measures and CAP regulatory compliance
-
You will ensure that the department maintains Joint Commission and all regulatory compliances/ recommendations are met
What qualifications you will need:
-
Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy education program approved by Commission of Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) required
-
Current California RCP license required
-
RRT preferred but not required
-
Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required
-
Minimum 1-year experience in therapeutic and diagnostic bronchoscopies required
-
Minimum 2-years as lead or prior supervisor of RT department required
-
Minimum 2-years experience in Critical Care areas, Intensive Care, Emergency Room, Trauma and pediatric respiratory care required

Minimum 2-years with NICU level II or III, capable to intubate newborn independently, required
