The Department of Surgery at the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont and Golisano Children’s Hospital at University of Vermont Health are seeking a Pediatric Urologic Surgeon. The institutions offer a full spectrum of pediatric medical and surgical specialties and include a Level III NICU , a fully staffed PICU , and serves as the regional adult and pediatric Level I regional trauma center. The Division of Urology holds a long-standing reputation as a premier urologic surgery practice for the surrounding communities for both pediatric and adult urologic care needs and enjoys a very robust and integrated relationship with the Department of Pediatrics and Division of Pediatric Surgery. In addition, with a highly respected residency training program, with a robust and stable complement of dynamic faculty across our network hospitals, the Division seeks applications from individuals seeking an academic career in a collegial and collaborative setting. In addition, work-life balance is another cornerstone of this opportunity with many facets for its construct to accommodate the applicant’s addition to our faculty.
Applicants must be Board Certified both in Urology and Pediatric Urology, eligible to work in the United States and eligible for licensure in the State of Vermont. Experience with medical student and resident education would be appreciated given the responsibilities of this academic position.
This is a full-time, 12-month salaried faculty appointment in the Clinical Scholar Pathway at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor and carries with it attending staff privileges at University of Vermont Health as part of University of Vermont Health Medical Group. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with ability and experience.
Located in Burlington, the University of Vermont and the University of Vermont Health Medical Group as Vermont’s only academic medical center. It is the only ACS verified Level 1 trauma center in the state and provides tertiary care to patients from Vermont and Northern New York. Anticipated Pay Range
The anticipated salary range for this position is $475,000-$525,000
The referenced salary range reflects the combined total range based on dual employment by both the University of Vermont and the University of Vermont Health Medical Group. The salary range does not include all components of compensation. Therefore, the actual compensation paid to the selected candidate may vary from the salary range stated herein.
