SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI) Functional Consultant

CTG is seeking to fill an SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI) Functional Consultant position for our client.

Location: Washington, DC

Duration: 12 months

Duties:

• Implement, configure, and support SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI) solutions aligned with client business requirements.

• Analyze business processes and functional requirements to design effective, scalable, and maintainable SAP solutions.

• Translate business needs into functional designs and system configurations that support financial operations.

• Lead or contribute to solution design, development, testing, implementation, and deployment activities.

• Integrate SAP Finance solutions with related business processes and technical systems.

• Provide functional expertise and trusted business advice to clients, ensuring solutions meet expectations and deliver measurable value.

• Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and project members to resolve issues and deliver project objectives.

• Apply industry and SAP best practices to improve financial processes, solution quality, and long-term maintainability.

• Communicate recommendations, functional designs, and implementation progress clearly to clients and project teams.

Skills:

• Hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI) implementation and configuration.

• Strong understanding of financial business processes and SAP Finance functionality.

• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into practical functional solutions.

• Experience with SAP solution design, integration, testing, and implementation.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent client-facing communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to develop scalable, maintainable solutions that align with business objectives.

• Familiarity with F4U integration (as applicable to the project).

Experience:

• Demonstrated experience implementing and configuring SAP Finance solutions, preferably in SAP S/4HANA environments.

• Experience working directly with clients to gather requirements, assess business processes, and recommend solutions.

• Proven ability to support solution development and delivery across design, configuration, testing, and implementation.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional and technical teams to deliver integrated solutions.

• Ability to apply business and industry knowledge to resolve complex functional challenges and meet project goals.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

• SAP S/4HANA Finance or SAP FI certifications are preferred.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $70.00 to $75.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
