Summary

This position ensures the day-to-day purchasing process runs smoothly by monitoring stock levels, interacting and working with vendors, preparing purchase orders, tracking deliveries and maintaining accurate purchasing records to ensure the timely and cost-effective purchase of parts inventory.

**** **** Role and Responsibilities ****

• Monitor stock levels using the company’s inventory management system and other inventory tools.

• Review superseded and discontinued part numbers regularly to help maintain accurate inventory records.

• Coordinate the monthly upload of vendor price files to the operating system.

• Create, issue and manage purchase orders.

• Track orders and follow-up to support timely delivery.

• Communicate with suppliers to resolve discrepancies, delays and damaged shipments.

• Initiate store-to-store transfers as requested.

• Coordinate inventory returns and ensures vendors process timely adjustments.

• Support Accounts Payable by matching invoices with purchase orders and packing lists.

• Provide backup to Accounting for inventory receipt processing.

• Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

**** **** Qualifications and Education Requirements ****

• Knowledge of procurement processes and inventory management

• Proficient in MS Office and Excel.

• Essential to have strong analytical skills and be able to effectively communicate findings.

• Able to approach problems objectively and work logically to find a solution.

• Proficient in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks.

• High school diploma or bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or related field preferred.

• Experience in purchasing, inventory or administrative support roles are beneficial.
