Vascular/ Cardiac Sonographer-PRN Days

LOCATION: Texas Health Plano is located at 6200 W Parker Rd, Plano, TX 75093
SCHEDULE: PRN Days. Hours would be 8:30-5 if during week and 7-1 if on weekend. One week of call per month, must respond within one hour.

THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED:
-
H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required
-
Associate degree from accredited school of Ultrasound Technology preferred
-
1 year prior experience preferred
-
Cardiac experience highly preferred
-
RCS - Registered Cardiac Sonographer upon hire required OR
-
RDCS - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer upon hire required OR
-
RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist upon hire required OR
-
RVS - Registered Vascular Specialist upon hire required AND
-
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL DO:
-
Explains procedures to patient or guardian/family member if applicable prior to exam
-
Performs complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations.
-
Adjusts technique parameters appropriately for age related factor.
-
Produces quality Echocardiogram, Stress Echocardiogram, Transesophageal Echocardiogram, and/or Vascular studies following department policies and procedures, as well as IAC standards
