Full job description

Hospice Services of Massachusetts is looking for a full-time RN Scheduler and Administrative Coordinator to join our team!

This is an in-office position in Lakeville. Monday-Friday schedule. Weekly pay up to $42 an hour.

The RN Nursing Scheduler/Administrative Coordinator oversees field team scheduling to ensure patients are seen according to the plan of care, while also managing the office's reception and clerical functions.

Experience & Education:

  • Prior experience in healthcare staff scheduling preferred.

  • Must possess an active RN license in Massachusetts.

  • At least one year of hospice experience required.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc).

  • Ability to manage frequent changes.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the scheduling needs of the nursing team, taking into consideration caseload and travel time, that follows the plan of care and complies with regulatory requirements.

  • Post schedule, as a minimum, seven (7) days in advance.

  • Adjust schedule accordingly and communicate to nursing team of changes in a timely manner.

  • Review and schedule patient recertifications in a timely manner.

  • Seek opportunities to limit overtime, including communicating and coordinating with per diem staff.

  • Manage client appointments and scheduling requests.

  • Identify staffing problems, take initiative to resolve, and communicate to Executive Director and other directors.

  • Maintain daily staffing sheets.

  • Develop positive relationships with members of the nursing team, as well as patients, families, and referring partners.

  • Answer telephone inquiries and direct them to the appropriate parties. Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages.

  • Responsible for clerical and administrative filing, ordering and overseeing storage of supplies, and upkeeping general office conditions.

  • Must be willing to make patient visits, as needed.
