Job Description

Insight Global is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and integration of mechanical and electromechanical systems for a leading aerospace and defense organization. This individual will research customer requirements, develop engineering solutions, support fabrication and testing activities, and drive product improvements throughout the system lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical design experience, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to collaborate across engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver high-quality products and systems.

Skills and Requirements

experience in SolidWorks

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline

5-10 years of mechanical engineering experience

Experience designing mechanical or electromechanical systems

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience supporting product development and testing activities

The ability to obtain or maintain a security clearance Aerospace & Defense industry experience

Experience with thermal, hydraulic, or heat transfer systems

Knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100 quality standards

Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen experience

Experience with CAD, engineering analysis software, or ERP systems

Experience integrating hardware and software systems
