Full job description

Scopely is looking for a Corporate Brand & Communications Manager to join our MONOPOLY GO! team in Culver City, California, on a hybrid basis, working 2 days per week from our office. At Scopely, we care deeply about what we do and want to inspire play, every day – whether in our work environments alongside our talented colleagues, or through our deep connections with our communities of players. We are a global team of game lovers who are developing, publishing and innovating the mobile games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily. MONOPOLY GO! is a global phenomenon and the biggest mobile game launch in history, captivating millions of players worldwide. The Corporate Brand & Communications team at Scopely shapes and amplifies our global narrative—internally and externally—through a range of storytelling methods, including media relations, video, and social media, we elevate our brand, games, and teams worldwide. As Corporate Brand & Communications Manager, you'll help shape how MONOPOLY GO! shows up in culture, media, and the conversations that matter to our players. This is a hands-on role, focused on always-on consumer communications. You’ll support major collaborations, talent partnerships, and community initiatives, while also developing stories between those key beats. You'll support major collaborations, talent partnerships, creator programs, community initiatives, and real-world activations while finding fresh ways to keep the game relevant between these moments. You’ll report to the Senior Director of Corporate Brand & Communications and work closely with the full Corporate Brand & Communications team, as well as colleagues across Marketing, Social, Influencer, Community, Partnerships, Product, and Publishing. We're looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with creative instincts and strong execution skills. The right person will be comfortable moving from a player story to a media pitch, from a cultural trend to a quick-turn idea, and from a broader communications plan to the details that make it happen. What You Will Do:

  • Help develop and execute the cultural, always-on consumer communications strategy for MONOPOLY GO!
  • Support communications for new game tentpoles, talent partnerships, creator programs, community initiatives, and real-world activations.
  • Be extremely creative and on-the-pulse to find and develop compelling stories from the game and its community, including player friendships, rivalries, achievements, creative contributions, and the ways MONOPOLY GO! helps people stay connected.
  • Take a 360 approach to all communications, including earned, owned and sponsorship opportunities, devising big ideas and taking them to execution
  • Monitor entertainment, sports, social, creator, and cultural conversations to identify timely opportunities for the game.
  • Develop thoughtful, quick-turn ideas that are relevant to players and can earn attention beyond the gaming press.
  • Build relationships with consumer, lifestyle, entertainment, culture, sports, technology, and gaming media.
  • Write media pitches, press materials, briefings, messaging, and other communications that make the game and its community easy to understand and exciting to talk about.
  • Work closely with Social, Community, Marketing, Partnerships, Product, Publishing, and agency partners to bring integrated ideas to life.
  • Help identify and support talent, creator, editorial, and experiential opportunities that feel authentic to MONOPOLY GO!
  • Track coverage and results, share learnings, and use insights to strengthen future communications.

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in communications, public relations, entertainment, lifestyle, consumer technology, games, sports, or a related field.
  • A highly strategic, creative and curious teammate who is constantly coming up with breakthrough ideas and has the execution skills to bring them to fruition
  • Experience developing consumer communications programs and securing meaningful earned media beyond traditional product or trade coverage.
  • You live and breathe culture and stay on top of what’s happening across social, entertainment, creators, sports, and news. You can quickly spot what matters, understand why it matters to our players, and move from insight to action with urgency and good judgment.
  • Strong writing, pitching, storytelling, and media relations skills.
  • Excellent media contacts, especially with lifestyle media.
  • A good understanding of culture and the ability to recognise why a story, trend, partnership, or moment might resonate.
  • Experience working with creators, talent, editorial partners, live events, or integrated campaigns is a plus.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift, and ideas need to move from concept to execution quickly.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong relationships across creative, marketing, product, community, and communications teams.
  • Strong judgment, attention to detail, and a high level of ownership.
  • Genuine curiosity about games, entertainment, communities, and the people who play.
  • A good sense of humour and an appreciation for the fun, unexpected, and highly social ways players experience MONOPOLY GO!
