DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position focuses on providing direct nursing care, managing patient plans, and supporting a therapeutic environment for veterans in a long-term care setting. As a Registered PRN Nurse, you will perform the following duties: 1. Resident Assessment: Review resident reports, monitor conditions, and update care plans based on patient needs 2. Clinical Support: Assist physicians during examinations and treatments, transcribe orders, and ensure they are completed 3. Care Documentation: Record daily care, maintain medication records, and update electronic medical files 4. Medication Management: Administer medications or oversee proper administration by qualified staff 5. Supply Oversight: Track inventory, inspect equipment, and recommend repairs or replacements 6. Per Diem employees are required to work any shifts as needed. Shifts include 1st shift (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM), 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM), and 3rd shift (11:00 PM to 7:30 AM). Your training will be conducted on 1st shift. 3. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. 4. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting hourly salary of $56.48. 5. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Necessary Special Requirements: 1. This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania. 2. All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. Other Requirements: 1. PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. 2. If you are within 60 days of graduating from a school of nursing approved by the State Board of Nursing, you are eligible to apply for this job posting. At the time of appointment to a position, you must show proof of possession of a current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Registered Nurse license. 3.
