Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Bilingual Spanish HR Manager to serve as the stand-alone HR leader for their Baldwin Park location. This is a hands-on role responsible for managing the full scope of day-to-day human resources functions, including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, compliance, benefits, and HR administration.

The ideal candidate is a confident, proactive HR professional who can independently manage HR operations, partner with leadership, and serve as a trusted resource for employees at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees and management.

  • Independently oversee all day-to-day HR functions for the organization.

  • Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, coaching, and corrective action.

  • Partner with management on performance management, employee engagement, and workplace issues.

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, transfers, promotions, and terminations.

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.

  • Administer benefits, leave of absence processes, and other employee programs.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and California employment laws and regulations.

  • Maintain and update company policies, procedures, and employee handbook materials.

  • Manage HRIS activities using ADP Workforce Now, including employee changes, reporting, and HR records.

  • Support payroll administration and ensure accurate employee information is maintained in ADP.

  • Conduct new hire orientations and HR-related training.

  • Assist with workers' compensation, unemployment claims, and other employment-related matters.

  • Track attendance, performance, and other HR metrics.

  • Provide guidance to leadership regarding HR best practices and employment regulations.

  • Handle sensitive and confidential employee information with discretion.

  • Communicate effectively with a diverse, Spanish-speaking workforce.

Requirements

5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in an HR Manager or stand-alone HR capacity.

Bilingual Spanish/English required.

Strong knowledge of California employment laws and HR best practices.

Experience independently managing a broad range of HR functions.

Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now required.

Strong employee relations and conflict-resolution skills.

Experience with investigations, performance management, leaves of absence, and compliance.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and make sound HR decisions.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
