Basic Job Functions:
The role of the Electrical Power Engineer is to be a leaders in safety, while supporting operations and showing engineering excellence. They will be responsible for leading predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance for the power distribution throughout the facility. That includes switch gear, power distribution centerers, battery backups, transformers and protective relays. They will provide division-wide technical expertise, assist with long term capital planning, provide leadership and planning, coordinate preventative maintenance measures, and will be vital to the advancement of Nucors Maintenance Strategy:

Minimum Qualifications:
BS Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience in the electrical power field Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in industrial electrical engineering. Experience with melting, casting, or long product rolling. Electric Arc Furnace regulation. Familiarity with NFPA 70E-Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace Experience with Capital expenditures budgets and implementation Experience interpreting technical drawings and design specifications
