Commercial Litigation Paralegal - Hybrid

Description

Robert Half is partnering with a well-respected global law firm seeking a Commercial Litigation Paralegal for its Miami office. This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation paralegal who thrives in a high volume, deadline driven practice and enjoys supporting attorneys on complex commercial matters from case intake through trial. You will be a key member of a collaborative litigation team, with the chance to work on sophisticated matters at a firm known for its depth and reach. Position is hybrid remote, with awesome benefits including 5 weeks of paid time off and bonuses.

Requirements

• Support attorneys through every stage of litigation, including discovery, depositions, hearings and trial

• Draft and revise discovery requests, responses and other litigation documents for attorney review

• Conduct research and help prepare pleadings, motions, exhibits and court filings

• Review and organize document productions and records from opposing counsel

• Manage court calendars, hearing schedules, court reporters and filing deadlines

• E-file documents in state and federal courts

• Prepare deposition, hearing and trial materials, and attend trials and hearings as needed

• Communicate with clients, attorneys and outside parties to keep cases on track

• Record time accurately and on schedule

Requirements

Qualifications

• 10+ years of litigation paralegal experience at a mid to large law firm

• Commercial litigation background required; insurance defense experience will not be considered

• Strong knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures

• Trial preparation and trial attendance experience strongly preferred

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and e-discovery platforms such as Relativity

• Excellent writing, organization and attention to detail, with the ability to shift priorities quickly

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate preferred
