We are Civil Quality Associate to support quality assurance and quality control activities on a large industrial construction project in Hawesville, Kentucky. This individual will work closely with construction, engineering, and quality teams to verify that civil, structural, and architectural work is completed in accordance with project specifications, applicable codes, approved procedures, and client requirements.

The ideal candidate will have experience performing field inspections, documenting quality activities, supporting non-conformance resolution, and monitoring contractor compliance on industrial, infrastructure, EPC, manufacturing, energy, or large commercial construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Perform field inspections and surveillance of civil, structural, and architectural construction activities.

  • Verify construction work is performed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and project requirements.

  • Witness and document inspection and testing activities as required by Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).

  • Review contractor quality documentation for completeness and compliance.

  • Identify, document, and assist in the resolution of non-conformances (NCRs) and quality-related issues.

  • Monitor contractor compliance with quality requirements and approved procedures.

  • Participate in quality audits, site walkdowns, and punch list activities.

  • Maintain quality records and inspection documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Coordinate with construction management, engineering, contractors, and inspectors regarding quality concerns and corrective actions.

  • Assist with project turnover activities and final quality documentation packages.

  • Report quality observations, deficiencies, and trends to project quality leadership.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of construction quality, inspection, or QA/QC experience.

  • Experience supporting civil, structural, concrete, steel, earthwork, foundations, or architectural construction activities.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, procedures, and inspection requirements.

  • Experience working with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), inspections, surveillance reports, and quality documentation.

  • Familiarity with NCRs, corrective actions, punch lists, and turnover processes.

  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification or AWS certification preferred/required.

  • Experience on industrial, EPC, manufacturing, power, energy, infrastructure, or data centre projects.

  • ACI certifications, NICET certifications, or related quality certifications are a plus.

  • Technical degree, engineering technology diploma, or equivalent construction experience preferred
