We are looking for a Senior Purchasing Specialist, based in Erlanger , United States of America .

This position will provide individual support to Tech Ops team members with contributing responsibility for sourcing and purchasing of aircraft components in support of the DHL Express aircraft fleet.

The Senior Purchasing Specialist provides daily procurement and material management to Global Aviation Tech Ops Teams. This includes but not limited to Aircraft Conversions, Heavy Checks, and structural component part purchasing and repairs for the DHL global aircraft fleet.

How will you contribute to the success of DHL?

• Provides procurement and material management and logistical support for Global Aviation Tech Ops Team

• Participate in aircraft part sourcing and procurement (sourcing, supplier selection, order processing, contact administration)

• Monitor and Coordination of material management of Inventories at Global Aviation Tech Ops warehouses (permanent and temporary)

• Support with purchasing of large line replaceable components

• Coordinate Repair administration of Large Component Repairs (Thrust Reversers, Landing Gear, Fan Cowls, etc.)

• Support with supplier performance management and monitoring of Repair Shops

• Provide purchasing support of the following programs:

• Americas Heavy MX events

• Established Production Lines

• Established Min / Max Levels

• Conversion Aircraft Kits

• Conversion Aircraft NR parts

• Modification Kits & Parts

• Component Repairs as necessary

• Support to ensure Finance and M&E System Alignment (Goods Receipt, Location Accuracy, Invoice Submission to Finance)

Do you have what it takes?

• Typically requires BS/BA in Aviation Management or Procurement Management

• Typically requires 3-5 years' experience in purchasing large quantities of aircraft components from a global supplier base, including at least 3 years' experience in vendor relationship management

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English.
