Job Description
Lead the day-to-day operations of the Atlanta Finance & Accounting team, overseeing workload distribution, reviewing financial work products, resolving issues, and developing team members. Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including the review of account reconciliations, journal entries, supporting schedules, and variance analyses. Partner closely with business leaders and finance teams across the organization, including a large employee population in India and other global locations, to support budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and strategic decision-making. Prepare and present financial results, KPI reporting, budget-to-actual analyses, forecasts, and recommendations to finance leadership and executive stakeholders. Oversee financial operations for a global organization of approximately 500+ employees while monitoring cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditures. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SOX requirements, corporate policies, and audit standards, and coordinate with internal and external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies. Maintain and optimize finance systems, reporting tools, and standard operating procedures while identifying and implementing process improvements that drive efficiency, scalability, automation, and reporting accuracy. Serve as a key business partner across the organization and support finance leadership on special projects, strategic initiatives, and complex financial analyses.
Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience
- 4+ years of management or leadership experience
- Strong experience with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX compliance, internal controls, and audit requirements
- Experience reviewing account reconciliations, journal entries, supporting schedules, and variance analysis
- Advanced ERP systems experience (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or similar)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong financial modeling and data analysis capabilities
- Strong leadership, communication, business partnering, analytical, and problem-solving skills, experience presenting financial results and recommendations to senior leadership
- Experience overseeing financial operations for a company of approximately 500+ employees
- Experience supporting global entities and partnering with teams across multiple countries, including significant collaboration with employees in India and other international locations
- Proven ability to operate independently, drive results, and lead without extensive direction or hand-holding
- MBA or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Fintech industry experience
- Payments industry experience
- Technology industry experience
- Experience within a mid-to-large-size organization
- Experience driving finance process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiencies
- Strong executive-level stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Experience leading finance teams in a global business environment
