ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: The Neuromuscular Massage Therapy (NMT) Program Chair provides leadership, administration, instruction, and continuous program improvement for the Neuromuscular Massage Therapy program. The Program Chair is responsible for ensuring program quality, regulatory compliance, student success, curriculum development, faculty supervision, accreditation readiness, and community partnerships while preparing graduates for successful careers as licensed massage therapists with advanced training in neuromuscular therapy. The Program Chair serves as the primary liaison between the program, the Allied Health Division, industry partners, and regulatory agencies while fostering an engaging, student-centered learning environment. Reports To: Dean of Allied Health and Division CH MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: · Graduate of a state-approved Massage Therapy or Neuromuscular Massage Therapy program. · Current Georgia Massage Therapy License (LMT) in good standing. · Minimum of five (5) years of full-time clinical experience as a Licensed Massage Therapist. · Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience in a massage therapy or allied health education program. · Demonstrated experience in neuromuscular massage therapy and other advanced manual therapy techniques. · Experience in curriculum development, student assessment, and instructional planning. · Demonstrated leadership, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. · Proficiency using instructional technology and learning management systems. · Ability to develop and maintain clinical education partnerships. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: · Associate or Bachelor's degree in Massage Therapy, Health Sciences, Education, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field. · National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) Board Certification. · Experience serving as a Program Chair, Program Director, Lead Instructor, or Clinical Coordinator. · Experience with curriculum development and program assessment. · Experience with program accreditation and regulatory compliance. · Experience using Blackboard or other Learning Management Systems. · CPR and First Aid Instructor certification. · Established partnerships with healthcare providers, wellness centers, or massage therapy employers. SALARY/BENEFITS: The salary for this will be $60,000 per year. This is a full-time position with paid state holidays, accrued annual and sick leave, and the State of Georgia Health Flexible Benefits Program.
