Job Title: Custodian (Janitor)
Location: Auburn Hills, MI
Period: 10/10/2026 to 06/30/2027
Requisition Type: Temporary- Long Term
Job Description:
The Custodian is responsible for cleaning functions, furniture moving and adjustments, and other related custodial duties in compliance with assigned safety and work standards and schedules. Duties may include custodial work, mailroom/shipping receiving clerk responsibilities, or groundskeeping, as directed by a supervisor and with proper training. The successful candidate will report to the Superintendent or Supervisor of Buildings Grounds, and is expected to work in a diverse, multicultural environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of premises

Move and adjust furniture as needed

Support mailroom, shipping/receiving, and groundskeeping tasks when assigned

Follow safety and work procedures and schedules

Maintain equipment and supplies

Provide excellent customer service to staff and visitors
Education Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (required)
-
College credits (preferred)
Licenses:
-
Valid driver’s license (required)
-
State of Michigan pesticide applicator license (preferred)
Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
-
Minimum 1-year custodial experience (preferred)
-
Customer service experience
-
Familiarity with email systems and basic computer skills (preferred)

Grounds keeping experience (preferred)
Hours & Pay Rate:
-
Monday–Thursday: 3:00 pm – 12:30 am
-
Friday: 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Pay rate: 17.04 an hour
