Job Description Summary

The Senior Integrated Engineering and Manufacturing Planner is responsible for detailed scheduling, reporting, and analysis of engineering and manufacturing activities supporting Edison Works programs. In this role, the planner will collaborate with the Integrated Master Scheduling team, Engineering Control Account Managers (CAMs), Manufacturing Programs Hardware Managers, and Government Property Managers to drive execution against complex hardware and program milestones. This role will use schedule rigor to expose hardware risk and drive action to protect critical program milestones, while building standard work and implementing it across multiple programs with complex dependencies.

Additionally, this role requires understanding customer needs, industry dynamics, and government market requirements to support future contract proposals, baseline planning, and program re-plans.

You will support the Program Management Office (PMO) in developing and implementing best practices and standard work templates to enhance efficiencies in program execution across Edison Works and GE Aerospace. The PMO includes functions such as integrated master scheduling, program execution and fulfillment, and program operations and forecasting. In this role, you will help connect schedule discipline to hardware execution by identifying constraints, improving visibility to risk, and driving cross-functional action to maintain program commitments.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support Integrated Engineering and Manufacturing planning teams through the creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of detailed schedules for Edison Works programs, with clear alignment to hardware build, test, delivery, and program milestone execution.

  • Use schedule rigor to expose hardware risk and drive action to protect critical program milestones.

  • Work with critical program functions to establish daily management standards, reporting, and operating rhythms that improve visibility to hardware status, near-term priorities, and execution risk.

  • Implement changes to engineering and hardware activities and apply schedule logic to identify critical path impacts, dependencies, constraints, and gaps requiring action.

  • Work directly with Engineering and Manufacturing Programs focal points to execute recurring daily and weekly status reviews, update activity progress, resolve disconnects, and drive closure of actions impacting hardware schedules.

  • Partner with the Earned Value Management Scheduling team to ensure schedule reporting accurately reflects hardware execution status, milestone performance, and recovery actions needed to maintain program commitments.

  • Identify schedule risk early, escalate issues as needed, and coordinate cross-functional recovery plans to address missed dates, sequencing conflicts, resource constraints, and execution barriers.

  • Interface with internal customers and leaders to communicate program status, schedule health, pressure to plan, and risks to hardware execution.

  • Provide guidance to program leadership, systems engineering, and manufacturing programs around cross-functional scheduling, program dependencies, schedule constraints, and opportunities to recover or protect milestone execution.

  • Drive process improvement within GE scheduling tools, including Deltek Open Plan, and act as a scheduling tool SME to provide reports, views, and analysis that support program decision making and hardware execution.

  • Apply LEAN principles to develop and implement best practices, standard work, and problem-solving methods that improve schedule quality, responsiveness, and execution efficiency.

  • Support leadership reporting and purchased services planning with schedule-based analysis tied to hardware readiness, execution priorities, and program needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project or program management.

  • Capability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.

Desired Characteristics

  • Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

  • Experience with Deltek Open Plan or equivalent critical path scheduling tools.

  • Experience supporting hardware development, manufacturing, build, test, or delivery schedules.

  • Proven experience leading broad cross-functional teams.

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify risks, solve problems, and drive execution.

  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn, teach, and continuously improve.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs, projects, or initiatives in a complex environment.

  • Understanding of LEAN practices and demonstrated implementation of Standard Work.

  • Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, and eager to learn.

  • Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, and contributes constructively.

  • Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, and remains committed to outcomes.

  • Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, and collaborative partner.

  • Problem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, and applies critical thinking to resolve execution issues.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
