Full job description
Swedish Medical Group seeks a full-time Orthopedic Surgery physician assistant to join Swedish Orthopedics in Issaquah, Washington. Join a collaborative group of orthopedic surgeons and advanced practice clinicians providing care across outpatient, inpatient, and surgical settings. This position offers a unique opportunity to help grow orthopedic services in one of the Puget Sound region's fastest-growing communities while practicing within one of the Pacific Northwest's largest and most respected orthopedic programs.

Full-time position

Based primarily in Issaquah with opportunities to collaborate across the broader Swedish orthopedic network

Primary focus on outpatient clinic and inpatient orthopedic care, primarily supporting a total joint arthroplasty practice, with operating room responsibilities introduced gradually over time

Opportunity to transition into surgical first assist responsibilities as the practice and team needs evolve

Manage orthopedic patients across the continuum of care, including pre-operative, post-operative, and follow-up visits

Collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, advanced practice clinicians, rehabilitation specialists, and multidisciplinary care teams

Opportunity to work with a broad spectrum of orthopedic conditions and procedures

Contribute to the continued growth and development of orthopedic services for Eastside communities
Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation is between $150,001 and $200,340 per year

The compensation amounts listed may include productivity or quality/service incentives, call pay, extra shift incentives, as applicable to the position. In addition, providers may have CME benefits available to them.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program

Washington State PA license or ability to obtain prior to start date

National certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C)
-
Orthopedic experience preferred; new graduates with strong orthopedic rotations and demonstrated interest in orthopedic surgery are encouraged to apply

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Where You’ll Work
Swedish Medical Center's Issaquah Highlands campus is a full-service community hospital 17 miles east of downtown Seattle. The 80-bed facility provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient specialty care, including oncology, cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, emergency, intensive care and a host of specialized surgical services. The Swedish Issaquah emergency department received the prestigious Summit Award by Press Ganey Associates for maintaining patient satisfaction scores in the 95th percentile or above for at least three years.
