Job Description:

  • Provides technical support and troubleshooting for laboratory issues. Prepares and presents reports on laboratory performance and quality metrics.
  • Develops and implements protocols for specimen collection, handling, and processing.
  • Monitors and evaluates the performance of laboratory tests to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Maintains and calibrates laboratory equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Trains and supervises laboratory staff on proper testing procedures and safety protocols.

Education:

  • Bachelor's [Required]
  • Master's [Preferred]

Field of Study:

  • Bachelor's in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution OR Bachelor's degree equivalency with 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses; or 24 semester hours of science courses that include: 6 semester hours of chemistry, 6 semester hours of biology; and 12 semester hours of chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology in any combination; AND have a laboratory training program that includes: completion of a clinical laboratory training program approved or accredited by the ABHES or the CAAHEP (this training may be included in the 60 semester hours listed above); or at least three months documented laboratory training in each specialty in which the individual performs testing OR Successful completion of at least a 50-week official US military medical laboratory procedures training course and currently hold or have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician); or qualified and served as high complexity testing personnel on or before April 24, 1995 in a CLIA-certified laboratory as of December 28, 2024, and have done so continuously since December 28, 2024. Required

Work Experience:

  • 3+ years clinical laboratory experience [Required]
  • 3+ years leadership [Preferred]
  • Previous experience leading complex programs with accountability for measured outcomes [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Medical Lab Scientist (MLSAMT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLSASCP) or Medical Technologist (MTAAB)

Pay Range:
