THE POSITION: We are a fast-growing company seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the finance and accounting functions and operating procedures. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: 1. Maintain the general ledger to include the preparation and posting of journal entries, proper classification of revenue and expenses, account analysis and reconciliation, closing books, setting up new accounts, and capital review 2. Prepare general ledger balance sheet reconciliations including bank accounts, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accruals, debt and intercompany activity 3. Analyze expense accounts to ensure complete and accurate reporting of operating results 4. Prepare monthly financial statements to include balance sheet and income statement as well as other reports as required 5. Track and prepare depreciation schedules 6. Prepare and submit state sales and use tax returns 7. Support the Financial Controller with preparation of Board of Directors quarterly reporting and annual budgeting 8. Assist with ESOP accounting and forecasts 9. Maintain full compliance with Company policies and procedures and conducts all activities in accordance with the Company Code of Conduct 10. Performs other duties and tasks as assigned REQUIRED SKILLS: 1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field 2. Minimum of five years' experience, understanding of GAAP reporting 3. Organizational skills and adept at handling multiple tasks simultaneously 4. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills 5. Demonstrated excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, accuracy and time management skills 6. Demonstrated ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality 7.
