Business Analyst - Knowledge
Duration: 4 month contract - potential to extend or convert
Location: Remote
Role Overview
Our healthcare client is seeking a Business Analyst to support the migration of its enterprise knowledge management platform to OpenText. This individual will work closely with business stakeholders, knowledge authors, technology teams, and project leadership to gather requirements, support content migration planning, drive stakeholder engagement, and facilitate adoption of the new platform. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting system implementations, platform migrations, content management initiatives, or large-scale business transformation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Support the migration of an enterprise knowledge management platform to OpenText.
Partner with business stakeholders, content authors, technology teams, and project leadership to gather and document requirements.
Facilitate discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process reviews.
Document current-state and future-state business processes, workflows, and content management practices.
Create business requirements, user stories, process flows, decision logs, and supporting documentation.
Assist with content migration planning, including content inventories, metadata requirements, ownership models, and validation criteria.
Communicate migration timelines, platform capabilities, and impacts to stakeholder groups.
Support stakeholder readiness, communications, training activities, and adoption efforts.
Track risks, issues, dependencies, and open questions throughout the migration lifecycle.
Support user acceptance testing, defect tracking, and validation activities.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Systems Analyst, or a similar role.
Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business requirements across multiple stakeholder groups.
Facilitation skills with experience leading workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions.
Experience documenting business processes, workflows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Experience supporting technology implementations, platform migrations, or enterprise transformation initiatives.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.
Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with knowledge management, content management, or document management platforms such as OpenText, SharePoint, or Mentor.
Experience supporting large-scale content migrations or platform transitions.
Knowledge of metadata management, taxonomy development, document governance, and content lifecycle management.
Experience supporting change management, communications, training readiness, or user adoption efforts.
Experience working in healthcare, insurance, or other regulated industries.
Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
