Description

We are looking for an FP& A Manager to lead financial planning and performance analysis for our Distribution operations in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role will shape annual and long-term planning, build decision-support models, and deliver insight that helps leaders improve profitability and evaluate growth opportunities. The position works closely with finance, accounting, sales, and operations teams to turn business priorities into measurable financial outcomes and support data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop annual budgets and longer-range financial plans in partnership with business unit leaders across functions, channels, and regions.

  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting packages alongside accounting leadership for internal stakeholders and external reporting needs.

  • Build financial models to assess product performance, customer profitability, operational scenarios, and broader strategic opportunities, including potential acquisitions and other value-creation initiatives.

  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and accounting teams to produce dashboards, forecasting tools, and performance metrics that support ongoing business planning.

  • Analyze forecast-to-actual results, identify the drivers behind variances, and recommend actions to address unfavorable trends.

  • Evaluate the financial impact of pricing adjustments, contract changes, cost movement, and profit improvement initiatives to guide business decisions.

  • Convert strategic initiatives into balance sheet and profit-and-loss projections so leadership can track execution and expected returns.

  • Partner with global FP& A counterparts and senior leadership on reporting, planning, and special projects tied to regional and future business growth.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA is preferred.

  • At least 5 years of FP& A, finance, or accounting experience within a manufacturing or distribution environment.

  • Strong background in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams and translating business needs into actionable financial insight.

  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently while delivering clear recommendations to leadership.

  • Proficiency with Power BI and strong capability in financial reporting and performance dashboards.

  • B2B industry experience is preferred.

  • Finance or accounting certification or an FP& A-related designation is a plus.
