Job Description
Day to Day Insight Global is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Junior Asset Management Tech to join one our luxury retail clients on a two-week contract sitting onsite five days a week in Piscataway, NJ. This person will support IT asset inventory and device management operations. This individual will work within a storage and inventory environment, cataloging equipment, maintaining accurate asset records, and assisting with device lifecycle activities. You must have experience working with technology hardware, performing physical inventory tasks, and utilizing Excel to document equipment details.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct physical inventory of IT assets stored on pallets, shelving units, and in storage boxes.

Document equipment information in Excel, including: o Device Name o Asset Tag o Serial Number o Manufacturer o Model Number o Equipment Type

Organize and sort inventory to ensure accurate asset tracking and storage.

Locate, identify, and verify hardware assets within the storage environment.

Utilize a company-provided laptop to maintain and update inventory records.

Assist with device lifecycle management activities, including: o Device wiping and decommissioning o Asset registry updates o Inventory reconciliation o Packaging and shipping equipment

Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while handling a high volume of assets.

Follow established procedures for inventory management, data entry, and equipment handling.

Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and safe.
Skills and Requirements
- Previous IT inventory, asset management , or IT support experience.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ability to accurately enter and track data.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working independently and following defined processes.
- Ability to climb ladder and lift inventory as needed.
