What You’ll Do

In this role, you will provide support to the legal team across employment and other litigation matters. Your responsibilities will include organizing case materials and knowledge systems, implementing and administering legal holds, assisting with eDiscovery, conducting research, drafting correspondence, managing document production and filings, reviewing documents, supporting internal investigations, and tracking legal matters and deadlines diligently. You will also play a key role in streamlining and enhancing our legal processes, including through automation and AI solutions. Who You’ll Work With

You will collaborate closely with the employment law team, other in-house legal counsel and our legal operations team, as well as other key stakeholders within Teradata such as the People, Finance and Go-To-Market organizations. The Law Organization is responsible for proactively managing legal disputes and potential claims, overseeing and coordinating outside counsel to ensure strategic alignment and cost efficiency, and developing litigation strategies that advance the organization’s business objectives. At Teradata, we place a high value on the well-being of our legal professionals and foster a culture that supports a healthy work/life balance.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm or in-house legal department.

  • Solid understanding of employment litigation processes and eDiscovery best practices.

  • Proficiency with e-filing in state and federal courts.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while working independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Comfortable using AI tools to streamline legal work.

What You’ll Bring

  • Prior experience working at a leading national law firm or highly regarded boutique firm preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI and automation tools in legal workflows, particularly SharePoint and Power Automate.

  • Proficiency in legal research, drafting and terminology.

  • Experience implementing and administering legal holds, including proficiency with legal hold software.

  • Experience working with eDiscovery platforms to manage document review and production.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Expertise in reviewing, formatting and preparing legal documents.

  • You default to technology-first solutions, actively seeking out tools that streamline your work rather than reverting to manual processes.

  • Strong understanding of local court rules, filing deadlines, calendaring and filing court documents.

  • High integrity, professionalism, and a positive, collaborative attitude.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, discretion, and handle sensitive information.

  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality work with strong follow-up and follow-through.

  • Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Exceptional time management and knowledge management skills.

  • Proficient in file management and record keeping.
