In this role, you'll play a vital part in delivering comprehensive patient care, applying your expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatments for neurology patients participating in clinical trials across inpatient and outpatient settings. Role Overview: * Provide, as an integral member of the clinical research team, direct nursing care to research study Neurology participants. * Implement and adhere to research protocol standards in compliance with regulatory, institutional, and external agency requirements. * Work within a Nurse-Physician-based Ambulatory Care Practice Model. * Perform comprehensive patient assessments, provide patient education, and offer patient/family support specific to neurologic conditions and treatments. * Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care throughout all phases of treatment, protocol participation, and follow-up. * Participate in an individualized training/orientation program designed to teach or reinforce the principles of Clinical Trials Nursing as practiced at MSKCC. Key Qualifications: * New York State RN license * Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing * A minimum of 1.5 - 2 years of clinical nursing experience * Experience with Neurologic Oncology Neurology, Neuroscience patient populations strongly preferred * Clinical research nursing experience preferred but not required * Proficiency with clinical and office software (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel) * BCLS certification Core Skills: * Productive and eager to embrace new opportunities and complex clinical challenges with urgency, energy, and passion. * Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills, with a track record of maintaining high standards of nursing care. * Actively seeks opportunities for professional growth through both formal and informal development channels. * Approachable, collaborative, and comfortable engaging with diverse patient populations and care teams. * An effective communicator, able to tailor messaging to different audiences to ensure understanding and trust. * Skilled in building strong patient and stakeholder relationships and delivering patient-centered care solutions. Additional Information: * Hours: 4, 10-hour shifts, flexed from 8am to 6pm Monday-Friday. No weekends or holidays * Location: 530 East, 74th Street, David H.
