The Finance Reporting Group Manager (C14 / SVP) is a senior leadership position responsible for directing and overseeing a specialized team in the end-to-end preparation, governance, and timely submission of critical regulatory reports to supervisory authorities.
This role spearheads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of robust reporting frameworks, analytical models, and internal control procedures. Operating as a key strategic partner to business and corporate functions, the Finance Reporting Group Manager ensures that all financial and regulatory filings strictly comply with governing regulatory guidelines, accounting standards, and institutional risk management policies. Additionally, this role plays a central role in driving regulatory change management, digital transformation, data lineage enhancements, and remediation initiatives across the organization.
Responsibilities:

Regulatory Production & Filing Oversight: Direct the end-to-end production, review, and timely submission of key prudential regulatory filings to U.S. and global regulatory authorities (including the Federal Reserve Board/FRBNY, OCC, FDIC, SEC, and U.S. Department of Commerce).

Control Architecture & Governance: Establish, monitor, and enforce a rigorous risk and control environment across the reporting lifecycle—ensuring robust data reconciliation, variance analysis, anomaly resolution, and adherence to SOX/MCA and Data Quality governance standards.

Regulatory Liaison & Audit Management: Serve as a primary technical and operational liaison representing the Regulatory Reporting function in interactions with regulatory examination teams, Internal Audit, Compliance, and external auditors; manage responses to regulatory queries, inquiries, and reviews.

Regulatory Change Management & Policy Interpretation: Partner with Regulatory Policy, Controllers, Risk Management, and Legal teams to interpret new or evolving regulatory rules, assess operational/systemic impacts, and lead the seamless integration of policy changes into reporting architectures.

Transformation & Re-Engineering: Drive strategic modernization initiatives, including reporting automation, reduction of End User Computing (EUC) tools, data lineage tracing, and core architecture integration to improve operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.

Executive Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement: Prepare, synthesize, and present executive metrics, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), key risk indicators, and regulatory remediation milestones to senior leadership, governance committees, and board-level forums.

Issue Management & Remediation: Lead root-cause analysis on reporting variances and data defects; architect sustainable corrective action plans (CAPs) to remediate Matter Requiring Attention (MRA/MRIA) items and audit findings.

Team Leadership & Talent Development: Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing team of regulatory reporting professionals; foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, accountability, and strong conduct risk management.
Qualifications:

Experience: 10–15+ years of relevant experience in Financial Services, Banking, Public Accounting, or Financial/Regulatory Reporting, with a minimum of 5+ years in a senior managerial/supervisory capacity.

Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of U.S. regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., FR Y-9C, FR Y-14A/Q/M, FR 2052a, TIC reports, FFIEC009), U.S. GAAP, and banking regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel III/IV capital rules, liquidity metrics).

Risk & Controls Acumen: Proven track record in designing, evaluating, and operating governance and internal control frameworks within complex financial institutions.

Strategic Execution & Change Management: Demonstrated capability in leading large-scale cross-functional transformations, re-engineering operating models, and delivering technology-enabled automation.

Executive Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to present complex technical and regulatory subjects to senior executives, auditors, and regulatory examiners.

Leadership & Influence: Strong organizational leadership with demonstrated success in managing high-performing teams, navigating matrixed global organizations, and influencing cross-functional leaders.
Education:

Education: Bachelor’s degree / University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related quantitative discipline; Master’s degree (MBA, MS in Accounting/Finance) preferred.

Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or relevant professional equivalent strongly preferred
